Day 46: Canceled Flight to Tijuana

At Cancún airport, at the end of a vacation, Lizeth (A) and her older sister Daniela (B) are checking the departures board for their flight home to Tijuana.

How to study this lesson 3 steps
  1. Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
  2. Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense. Point at (or tap) a Spanish word to see what it means.
  3. Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Spanish, for example from the Resources page. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.

    Oh no. Call Mom before she starts worrying.

    Me? You do it, she asks me a thousand questions.

    Sale. Tú pregúntales en el mostrador si nos dan hotel.

    Fine. You ask them at the desk if they'll give us a hotel.

    Va. Pero no le digas que yo sí quería más playa.

    OK. But don't tell her I was actually hoping for more beach.
