Day 163: Snow in the Sierra de Arteaga
In Mexico City, Guillermina (A) phones her daughter Ximena (B) in Monterrey after the morning news; Ximena and her friends are about to drive up to the Sierra de Arteaga, in the mountains of Coahuila, for the weekend (in Mexico, nieve, snow, is also the word for sorbet).
How to study this lesson 3 steps
- Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
