Day 170: Renting Rooms to Students in Guanajuato
In the city of Guanajuato, Don Elpidio (A), an older widower, asks his neighbor Irasema (B), who has rented rooms to students for years, for advice; don is a title of respect.
How to study this lesson 3 steps

Is all that necessary? I was going to ask them for a month in advance, the way it used to be done.

If you ask them for a deposit, put it in a clause, along with the rules on visitors and noise.

And what if they turn out to be party animals? I'm too old for all that.

Ponga que a la segunda fiesta se van sin depósito. Y ojo: no cobre ni un peso sin darles recibo.
Put in that after the second party they leave without the deposit. And watch out: don't take a single peso without giving them a receipt.
