Day 50: Fifty Years of the Morning Paper

At breakfast in Tampico, Iker (A), a young boy, asks his grandmother Jovita (B) why she still buys a printed newspaper every morning.

How to study this lesson 3 steps
  1. Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
  2. Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense. Point at (or tap) a Spanish word to see what it means.
  3. Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Spanish, for example from the Resources page. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.

    But that's the photo from the science fair! That's me with my robot!

    Por eso lo sigo comprando, mijo: del celular no te puedo recortar para el refri.

    That's why I still buy it, sweetie: I can't cut you out of a phone for the fridge.
