Day 23: Reporting the Pothole by App
At home in Tlaquepaque, near Guadalajara, Ivonne (A) and her grown-up daughter JazmÃn (B) disagree about how to get the huge pothole in their street fixed.
How to study this lesson 3 steps
- Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
- Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense. Point at (or tap) a Spanish word to see what it means.
- Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Spanish, for example from the Resources page. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.

Going in person doesn't guarantee anything either. Here at least they give me a reference number.

The fact that they give you a reference number doesn't mean they'll fill it in. What works is collecting signatures.
